You may choose to volunteer by fighting fires. We run numerous different kinds of fires throughout the year including

-Structure Fires

-Vehicle Fires

-Natural Cover Fires

We provide the training needed to become a firefighter. We will provide the equipment. All you have to do is show up!

You may choose to run medical calls. 80% of our calls are medical response calls. These types of calls are challenging and give you a sense of fulfillment by helping someone.

We provide the training. We provide the equipment. All you do have to do is show up!

If running calls is your thing we can always use office help. This volunteer position will be entering calls, answering phone calls, getting the mail, helping out with other day to day operations tasks.

You may also choose to help with the auxiliary. The Auxiliary plans and hosts events throughout the year to raise money for tshirts, and various programs that the fire district runs. They will also provide rehab to firefighters and personnel on scene of large scale incidents such as structure fires or natural cover fires.

Make no mistake training for being a firefighter or an ems position is intense. We do not take these things lightly. We do require that all new volunteers go through our academy of sorts where you will get certification of Basic Firefighteer, a 40 hour course and Emergency Medical Responder which is another 40 hour course.

You will also be required to attend trainings. We have training on Wednesdays at 6pm. These trainings are typically 2 hours in length and covers either firefighting, medical, driving, vehicle extrication, or rescue operation topic.

You will also be required to attend calls throughout the year.

At the end of the year the Auziliary hosts an end of the year party where you will be awarded a check for the number of calls that you ran, it’s not much but it is something for the time and effort that you put in.

If you have been looking for a way to give back to your community, we encourage you to come volunteer with us. There is no better way to give back to the community.
